As every club has its own special culture with its own special routine, we strongly recommend that you come to one of our meetings as a visitor before deciding whether or not we are the right club for you.Our members come from all walks of life, have varying public speaking experiences, and are of all different ages. However, we all share the same aspiration: to become a better communicator, and a better leader, than we were yesterday.
You are most welcomed to just drop in a few minutes before 7:00pm or preferably, you can
contact us by phone or email prior to the meeting, so we can prepare a welcome pack for you.
Joining is as simple as filling in a form with your personal details so we can forward your application to Toastmasters International in the USA. Once registered, you will receive a monthly Toastmaster magazine sent directly to you from Toastmasters International.
There is an initial joining fee of $15 plus a 6-monthly fee (semi-annual) of $35 (pro-rata according to the month you join), $20 for purchasing your first workbook, totaling
an initial outlay of $70. This amount may be tax deductible if your work or study involves dealing with the public; please check this with your accountant.
A donation of $3 from each member at every meeting is collected for educational purposes.
We also encourage you to become a member of the Yowani Country Club, and the membership fee as a social member is $5.50 a year.
Once you join the club, you will be issued with the
Competent Communicator Manual; this step-by-step manual gives clear guidance on
making your first 10 speeches, so you can make a head start in your speaking career within Toastmasters as soon as you want to.
